We came upon this lion kill in Passarge Valley, in the Central Kalahari Park, early in the morning. We guessed that the pride of five lions, one male, three females and a juvenile, had brought the gemsbok down a few minutes before we arrived. It was wonderfully positioned in the fairly short grass close to the road and we spent several hours watching as the meal unfolded.
